I am a small-town Texas girl. My roots there go back several generations. There is rich history there and in Arkansas where I have lived for the past 30+ years.

Perhaps because of my Texas roots or just because I have a vivid imagination, I love stories and storytelling, whether in conversation or in the written word. And now I have begun exploring the storyteller within myself and reawakened a passion for writing fiction.  I have dabbled in it since I was a teenager, but except for short stories that I penned for a college fiction writing course, nothing more developed. Until now. With the encouragement of family and friends, I have written a novel, my first and surely not my last.

I belong to a writers group, and I have edited and been a beta reader for other writers. I enjoy that almost as much as my own writing. Who knew that this small-town Texas girl would start a new chapter in life in “retirement” that would fulfill so many dreams.
